Cuba Guillermo Rigondeaux and Mexico Moises Flores will meet on Saturday June, in Las Vegas, Nevada where the WBA 122 lbs super championship will be part of Andre Ward vs. Sergey Kovalev boxing card.

“The Jackal” will defend for the ninth time the title he won in 2012, after his KO6 over USA Rico Ramos. He later won the WBA 122 Super Championship defeating Philippine Nonito Donaire by unanimous decision.

“Chuky” is the current interim division champion since 2015, after he defeated Colombian Oscar Escandón by split decision and successfully defended it twice. However, the Cuban boxer will be the highest hierarchy opponent that has faced.

This fight was ordered by the WBA Championships committee to eliminate the división interim title.
