The flyweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Juan Carlos Reveco (33-1, 17 KOs), knocked out challenger Manuel Vides (15-3, 9 KOs) in the second round to retain his title on Saturday night at the Villa La Ñata Sporting Club in General Pacheco, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Reveco dropped Vides in the first and then crushed him in the second with combinations to the head and body to send him down some more, and eventually for the full count. It was Reveco’s sixth title defense.
