On Thursday, the last press conference was held before the fight between Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol, to be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, next Saturday.

The event was attended by the stars of the event and the rest of the fighters who will take part on Saturday night, as well as the president of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Gilberto Jesus Mendoza.

Mendoza recognized the quality of both fighters and their different paths through the WBA, which they have represented with pride and respect throughout their careers.

Alvarez and Bivol talked about the fight, always with serenity and respect in a calm atmosphere that foreshadows a storm in the ring on Saturday night.

Bivol assured that his only goal is victory and that he feels very confident in his abilities, and also said he wants to retain his WBA belt.

Canelo showed respect to his opponent by assuring that he is a great champion but added that this is his big moment and that he will beat him in their fight this Saturday.

This Friday afternoon both will step on the scales to mark the 175 pounds of the division and once they get it they will be ready for the fight.

WBA will award a special belt to the winner of the Canelo-Bivol fight
