Regis Prograis and Josh Taylor went face to face in London to present their fight on October 26th. The O2 Arena will be the venue for the defense of the Super Lightweight Championship of the World Boxing Association (WBA), owned by Prograis, and this Monday the press conference was held to present the event.

Prograis, a Houston native, will make the first defense of his black and gold belt against the undefeated Scotsman in a duel that generates high expectations and will represent the World Boxing Super Series final at 140 pounds.

“I am excited for this fight. It is the fight that I loved most and will serve to show who is the best of the two. Taylor, in my opinion, is very good. He had two great fights before this final and I’m anxious to fight him,” said the WBA champion.

The challenger was very motivated and confident in the face of the most important fight of his career: “I am very excited. I want to prove that I am the best in the Division when facing the best opponents. Now that the fight is official, I can concentrate in the gym and do great preparation.”

Prograis beat Kiryl Relikh last April and became Super Champion of the organization. The first defense of the American will be against a great fighter that will define the best in the division. All eyes await the showdown eagerly.
