WBA “interim” super featherweight champion Emmanuel “Pollo” Lopez (19-4-1, 8 kos) retained his title with with a tenth round TKO over Rolando “Tractor” Giono (18-6, 11 KOs) on Saturday night at the Palenque de la Feria in Comitan, Chiapas, Mexico. The bout was waved off by Texas referee Rafael Ramos at 1:34 to protect Giono from further punishment.
