Undefeated Cyrus Pattinson will face veteran Chris Jenkins on March 18 for the World Boxing Association (WBA) international welterweight title at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, England.

Matchroom confirmed the event that will held a WBA vacant regional title. The event will take place next month and will have a good starring fight with the vacant regional title of the pioneering body at stake.

The 28-year-old Pattison made his debut last year. His rise has been rapid and he has already been continental champion of another body, so now he is looking for his second professional title, which means a great opportunity to make himself known to the world.

He will have to overcome the obstacle of Jenkins, a 34-year-old veteran who is not on his best run but has faced good opponents like Julius Indongo or Tyrone McKenna in his recent fights, so he wants to take advantage of his experience to prevail in this fight.

Pattison has 5 wins in his career, 3 of them before the limit. Jenkins, meanwhile, has 23 wins, 6 losses, 3 draws and 8 knockouts.
