The Newcastle Arena will have an interesting World Boxing Association (WBA) eliminator duel this Saturday. Britain’s Thomas Patrick Ward and Uzbekistan’s Otabek Kholmatov will square off for a world featherweight opportunity in the co-main event of this weekend’s event.

The two boxers will fight in the same event where super lightweight Ohara Davies and Lewis Ritson will also star in a WBA eliminator fight, which will be the main event of the night.

Patrick Ward is 28 years old and has a long career in professional boxing dating back to 2012. He has had a long career and is a good stylist who has earned the eliminator thanks to his great work in the ring.

He will now fight on Kholmatov, another emerging Uzbek talent who possesses great punching power and has been rapidly rising to in the professional ranks. Since his debut in 2021 he has done nothing but win in demolishing fashion and is aiming to repeat history this time around.

Patrick Ward has 33 wins, no losses and 1 draw, while he has knocked out 5 opponents. Kholmatov has 10 wins, 9 of them by knockout
