Jessica Nery Plata and Kim Clavel held a press conference prior to their unification bout this Thursday for the World Boxing Association (WBA) and WBC Minimum Flyweight titles. 

The Mexican WBA champion and the Canadian champion talked to the press on Monday about what they expect from their bout, which will take place at the Place Bell Arena, in Laval, Canada. 

Nery Plata talked about the great challenge ahead and her desire to win. She knows it will be a tough fight but she also knows how to overcome obstacles, so she is confident in herself to get a win as a visitor.

Clavel is more motivated than ever for the opportunity to also earn her black and gold belt. She has the chance to do it at home and in front of her people, a chance she does not intend to waste in any way. 

On Wednesday, both women will go to the weigh-in ceremony, where they must weigh in at 108 pounds. Once this step is completed, they will be ready to fight for both championships on Thursday night.
