The commitment that Anthony Joshua will have next August 20, when he challenges the World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Heavyweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk, will not be easy for him.

The Briton wants to regain the black and gold belt, in addition to the IBF and WBO versions, but to do so he will have to change history and defeat the Ukrainian. Legend Mike Tyson talked a bit about what he needs to do to get it on The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast, statements picked up by DAZN’s Matt Atsburi.

“He’s going to have to wear him down, he’s not going to outbox this guy, he’s not going to do it, he’s just going to beat him,” Tyson said.

Last September 25 Joshua lost his titles when he was outclassed by Usyk in a great performance by the Ukrainian.

“Usyk is very hard to hit. He’s an elite amateur boxer, that kind of elite amateur boxer spoils guys like Joshua because there’s too much movement, feints and all that stuff,” he continued.

Finally, he highlighted what he needs to do in the ring to WIN and those circumstances that favor the Brit.

“He can do a lot, that’s why he’s not a lost soul, he can learn a lot, he’s still learning, that’s why he’s the dangerous Joshua, because he’s still learning. He can’t just feint, his jabs have to be constantly out there and he has to turn them into something,” he finished.
