Former world champion Miguel “Títere” Vázquez defeated Nicaraguan Oliver Flores by unanimous decision to become the new WBA-Fedelatin Lightweight champion on Saturday night, October 2.

Vazquez, born in Guadalajara, Mexico, was in control throughout the fight that was very even and an accidental headbutt in the third round made it difficult for Flores, who was defeated. The judges scored the bout: 99-91, 96-94 and 98-92 all in favor of the Aztec.

“Títere” improved his record to 44 wins, 17 KO’s and 10 defeats. While Flores dropped his 4 losses, he has 30 wins and 2 draws.
