Bektemir Melikuziev will attempt to regain the World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Americas super middleweight belt this Saturday night when he takes on Ulises Sierra at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood.

Melikuziev has been on the rebound since his knockout loss to Gabriel Rosado in March of last year. On that occasion he fell dramatically and lost the belt, which he intends to regain this week. Since then he has won three fights in a row and now feels ready to fight for the belt again.

He will have to overcome the obstacle of Sierra, a 34-year-old veteran with good punching power and who has made good fights against the likes of Edgar Berlanga and Vladimir Shishkin. He comes in with two wins in a row and ready to take the black and gold belt.

Melikuziev has 10 wins, 1 loss and 8 knockouts. Sierra has 17 wins, 2 losses, 2 draws and 10 knockouts.
