The Superstars of boxing Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have announced they will begin their training on Monday, March 2 mega for their fight on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Pacquiao arrived in Los Angeles last Saturday night and rest all day Sunday for the difficult and demanding eight week season with his team at its training camp at the Wild Card Gym with Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach in Hollywood, California and will have the fitness trainer Justin fortune and assistant coach will be Buboy Fernández.
He is already in Los Angeles accompanied by his Adviser Michael Koncz and his younger brother Bobby Pacquiao, his assistant Nonoy Neri and five other members of team Pacquiao.
Pacquiao avoided the media and headed straight to his home in Hancock Park Ángeles only to be greeted by a team of ABS-CBN.
“I’m ready mentally and spiritually for the May 2 fight”, said Pacquiao, who previously said that eight weeks will be enough for him to reach his top form for the fight projected to raise more than $300 million and destroy all other records of income in the history of boxing.
Like Pacquiao, the unbeaten Mayweather (47-0), 2 1/2-1 favorite should be making his formal entrance to the gym on Monday with his father, Floyd Sr., uncle Roger Mayweather, Rafael García his cutman, and the physical trainer Alex Ariza, former member of team Pacquiao before his fight with Roach in 2012.
