Lu Bin became the new World Boxing Association (WBA) International super flyweight champion by defeating Yutthana Kaensa by first round knockout in Yongkang, China.

In the same Max Power Promotions event, which was sponsored by WBA Asia, Yeerlan Nuerlanbieke also defeated Aekkawee Kaewmanee by technical knockout in six rounds to win the East Asia super lightweight belt.

It was a great event that continues to strengthen the comeback of boxing to an emerging market like China and that gave great fights with fighters from Thailand, the Philippines and, of course, the host country.

It also marked a big step in the career of Lu Bin, a top prospect from China who stumbled in 2019 fighting for the world title and is now on a career reboot with the intention of reaching the expectations that have always been held for him.

The WBA welcomes as great news that China is active again and that the sport is moving this way as more event are planned in the short term for this country.
