It was the tenth attempt made by the Colombian Liliana Palmera when she could become champion. On Friday, October 24, 2014 she beat the Venezuelan Ana Lozano, to win the Super Bantamweight 122 lbs interim title for the World Boxing Association.

Palmera and Lozano fought in the XXX KO Drugs festival that took place in the Coliseum of the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, where the judges favored the local 99-95, 98-92, 98-92.

The Colombian was always uncomfortable for the Venezuelan, who could not decipher her, although she kept trying the 10-round bout.

Always aggressive, Lozano could not keep Palmera away who grew after knocking the Venezuelan out of the ring. The new champion took advantage of the good combinations that weakened Lozano who endured the punishment.

Palmera has a record of 23-11-3, 9 KO and Lozano 8-3, 6 KO´s.
