Clara Lescurat received the Boxer of the Year award from TyC Sports’ renowned TV program “Boxeo de Primera”, a 30-year-old project that has become an icon throughout Argentina. 

The World Boxing Association (WBA) super flyweight champion had a great 2022 in which she won her crown and also made a defense. 

In June she faced Mexican Maribel Ramirez and defeated her by split decision to win the WBA super flyweight championship. She returned to the ring in October to face Naylea Gil Sanabia, whom she defeated by unanimous decision to retain the belt. 

Lescurat had a great year thanks to her hard work and effort. She took advantage of every opportunity she earned and has also been recognized as the best of the year by Boxeo de Primera. The WBA congratulates the champion and wishes her more success in her career, which is going through its best moment.
