Josh Kelly (6-0, 4KO’s) made weight coming in at 146.1lbs while Kris George (14-1, 8KO’s) came in at 146.5lbs.  Kelly will be defending his World Boxing Association (WBA) International Welterweight Title against the Aussie challenger.

George presents a stiff test for Kelly, with George previously holding the WBA Oceania Title at 140lbs.  Kelly is only in his seventh professional fight for this bout but is highly touted and backed by trainer Adam Booth and Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport.

Kelly vs George is taking place at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England, and on the same card is another great fight for a WBA belt in Charlie Edwards (12-1, 5KO’s) vs Anthony Nelson (12-1, 2KO’s).

Edwards weighed in at 114.5lbs and Nelson weighed in at 115.0lbs.  They will be fighting for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Super Flyweight Title.

Edwards is coming into the fight off of a first round knockout victory in February over Ricky Little, while Nelson is coming off of a unanimous decision victory over Simas Volosinas in April.
