George Kambosos Jr. and Devin Haney will step into the ring this weekend to fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight super championship, in addition to the IBF, WBO and WBC belts at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.

The champion will fight at home during his first defense and will receive one of the most talented fighters in the division as the American.

This Sunday a press conference was held after Haney’s arrival and a great atmosphere is already beginning to breathe in the Oceanic country for one of the best fights that the 135 lbs. can give.

Kambosos comes from defeating Teofimo Lopez last November 27 to become the lightweight monarch. Now, his best prize is to exhibit the crown in front of his people against a top level opponent and with the possibility of continuing to extend his great moment in world boxing.

Haney comes from overcoming tests against great veterans such as Joseph Diaz and Jorge Linares, so he has the record and experience to try to damage the party at home.

The fight will take place on Sunday morning in Australia, so in America it will be on Saturday night. Kambosos has 20 wins, 10 by knockout, while Haney has 27 wins and 15 knockouts.
