With the beginning of September came many announcements for the remaining of 2022. This weekend, it was announced that World Boxing Association Women’s World Light Flyweight Champion Jessica Nery Plata will face Canadian Kim Clavel on December 1 at the Place Bell in Quebec, Canada.

This will be a unification bout, since Kim Clavel won the WBC belt last July 29th by defeating Mexican Yessenia Gomez. And this will be the first defense again at home. 

On the other hand, the Aztec fighter Nery Plata, who won the super championship of the division against Yesica Bopp and has seven unblemished performances, will arrive with great confidence for what will also be her first defense and again will fight far from her homeland. 

This will undoubtedly be a great challenge for both fighters who are on the rise.
