Namibian Julius Indongo beat Scottish Ricky Burns by unanimous decision to become the new World Boxing Association Super Lightweight champion, last Saturday in Glasgow, Scotland.

 Indongo made a very active beginning following his  opponent  trying to do damage in the middle zone, getting a  suitable distance for his  attack.

 The first five rounds went similarly, Indongo managed to block his opponent and win the rounds. In round six, seven and eight, Burn stood in the center of the ring for a give and take.

  In the last two rounds, Indongo increased the pace to finish with the judges verdict, 120-108, 118-110 y 116-112.

 Indongo is the new 140 lbs WBA champion and improved his record to 22-0, 11 KO’s, while Burns dropped to 41-6-1, 15 KO’s.
