In her first defense of her World Boxing Association super welterweight crown, Terri Harper scored a resounding victory over Croatia’s Ivana Habazin. The judges saw Harper win unanimously with the following scorecards: two by 97-93 and the third by 98-92.

Habazin, who was to fight Cecilia Braekhus last weekend, but whose fight had to be called off due to an illness of the challenger, put on a great show this Saturday at the Manchester Arena retaining her crown to shine on this big occasion.

It was not an easy fight as Habazin came out to the ring with a lot of determination and put Harper in trouble on several occasions. However, the champion showed her courage and was able to get out of each of these situations and impose her style despite the difficulties.

Thus, the British Terri Harper increased her record to 14 wins with 6 knockouts, 1 loss and 1 draw. Habazin left her record at 21 wins, 5 losses and 7 knockouts.
