Happy birthday Liles, Konadu and NorwoodWBA family congratulates WBA former world champions Frankie Liles and Nana Konadu, who today turn 49, and Freddie Norwood who celebrates his 44 birthday.

Liles was born in Syracuse, New York in 1965. He had a huge experience in amateur boxing accumulating 285-14 fights.

He made his debut in the professional boxing in 1988, and on August 12, 1994 won the super middleweight title and kept it until June 12, 1999.

Nana Yaw Konadu was also born in 1965 in Ghana.

In January 1996 Konadu won the WBA title and lost it the same year in October against Daorung Chuwatana. He won it b ak in June 1997 in a rematch fight with Chuwatana. He reigned until December 1998. He retired with a record of 41-5-1, 32 KO´s.

Freddie Norwood was born in St. Louis, in 1970. He was known as “Lil Hagler”, and won WBA featherweight vacant championship since 1998 when he defeated the Venezuelan Antonio Cermeño. He made 8 successful defenses until he lost with Derrick Gainer. He retired in 2011 with a record 43-4-1, 23 KO´s.
