Haney-Kambosos 2 confirmed for Oct. 16

The second fight between Devin Haney and George Kambosos Jr. will take place next Oct. 16 at the Red Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia, with the World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight Super Championship at stake, in addition to the IBF, WBC and WBO belts.

As in their first bout, the time difference will be adapted for America to watch it on October 15 at night hours as the usual sails on that side of the world.

Haney won the first fight and took the titles from Kambosos in his own house. A flawless job in the ring that relied on his speed, his use of reach and an impressive jab was enough to take a comprehensive win on the scorecards and prove that he is the top 135-pound fighter today.

As champion, Kambosos had a rematch clause and he exercised it without hesitation despite being outclassed with ease. The Greek-born Australian has been hitting the gym hard with the intention of correcting mistakes and changing actions to regain his belts in this fight.

Haney is undefeated in 28 fights, with 15 knockouts, while Kambosos has 20 wins, 1 loss and 10 knockouts.

Bivol and Ramirez reached an agreement to fight on Nov. 5
