Haney-Kambosos 2: a fight of uncertainties

Devin Haney traveled all the way to Australia last June and returned to his native United States with a very significant victory for his career. The 23-year-old not only won the undisputed lightweight championship by defeating George Kambosos Jr. but also proved to be the best in the world in the division.

The dominance was wide and Haney made it clear who was better, however, Kambosos exercised his rematch option and now we will have the second edition of a fight that generates much expectation and has several unknowns this Saturday (Sunday in Australia) in Melbourne.

Haney was excellent in his strategy and kept his opponent at a distance, used his jab to perfection and did not let Kambosos  hit him. In the sport it is said that what works does not change and for that reason it seems logical that the champion is going to come with the same strategy to get the same result.

But Kambosos knows he has to change a lot of things and has focused on improving between the first fight and this one. The Australian needs to offer a different version of himself and the fans are anxious to know what differences he will bring and how he will adapt to them.

There will be various promotional activities this week leading up to the fight and on Friday they will step on the scales. Haney is undefeated in 28 fights, with 15 knockouts, while Kambosos has 20 wins, 1 loss and 10 knockouts.
