Arsen Goulamirian retained his World Boxing Association (WBA) Cruiserweight Super Champion crown this weekend against Aleksei Egorov with a unanimous decision victory at La Palestre in Le Cannet, France.

The Armenian native and French national came off a nearly three-year layoff and came away with a win on cards of 117-111, 116-112 and 117-111 to remain the 200-pound monarch after completing his mandatory fight.

Goulamirian went from strength to strength in the bout and improved as the rounds went by. He faced a very active opponent in the early rounds but was able to figure out the fight to take most of his advantage by the end of the bout.

Goulamirian came back in style and maintained his undefeated record in 27 fights, of which he has won 18 by knockout. Egorov’s record stands at 11 wins, 1 loss and 7 knockouts.
