After his twelfth successful defense on February 21 2015, Kazakh Gennady Golovkin was given the Boxer of the month recognition according to the new ratings published by the World Boxing Association.

The 160 lbs super champion defeated British Martin Murray by TKO 11, who has been the opponent that lasted the most so far. Golovkin raised his record to 32-0 with 29 KO, after the match staged in Salle le des étoiles, Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Thurman received the Honorable Mention after his victory by decision over Robert Guerrero in Las Vegas, last march 7.
