A bronze gold plated trophy will be the special award that the World Boxing Association will present the winner of the mega fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao on May 2, 2015 in Las Vegas, according to its Vice-President Jesús Gilberto Mendoza.

“There will be a special trophy on our part. We have not named it yet, because we are still designing it” announced the Executive in Mexico.

As for the fight he said “it will depend on the styles. We know Floyd Mayweather’s style boxing and counterattack, great defense. There will be a distance between the two boxers that can make it a bit tedious at time”.

He also said that: “Pacquiao aggressiveness can turn against him”, he also made clear that he was talking as boxing fan, and not as a boxing directive. He said that Mayweather “may win by a very close decision. “I hope we can see an event like this, because it will definitely be one of the biggest events”.

He says he hopes it will be a big fight, and that he wishes could compare with the Roberto Durán, “Sugar” Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns and Marvin Hagler trilogy “so that it is not only the show but also in sports”.
