Hanna Gabriels will defend her World Boxing Association (WBA) light heavyweight title on August 13 against Angie Paola Rocha, in Cali, Colombia.

The Costa Rican champion will face the Colombian at the Pascual Guerrero Stadium, in what means her return to the ring and her first defense of the crown.

Gabriels won the belt in April 2021 against Martha Gaytán, whom she defeated by technical knockout during their fight held in San José, Costa Rica.

Now she will face Rocha, who will have the advantage of being at home and intends to surprise her people.

Gabriels has 21 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw and 12 knockouts, while Rocha has 10 wins, 3 losses, 3 draws and 5 knockouts.
