Raymond Ford had a very important fight for his career against Jessie Magdaleno on Saturday night. The World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Americas featherweight champion fought the veteran in San Antonio and scored a big unanimous decision victory.

The 24-year-old southpaw dominated in all aspects, was convincing and in the end he prevailed with scores of 119-107, 119-107 and 116-110, with which he retained his belt. 

For the American, this fight against Magdaleno was a great test, as he was facing a tough opponent, with a good record and more experience. However, Ford showed his superiority from the first bell and left a pleasant impression with his victory. 

He managed to send his opponent to the canvas on two occasions. The first in the fourth round and later in the 11th, so Ford had a great performance on Saturday night’s event.

The American remains undefeated with 14 wins, no losses and 1 draw, in addition to 7 knockouts. For his part, Magdaleno left his record at 29 wins, 2 losses, and 18 knockouts.
