Nicaraguan Francisco Fonseca retained the World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedelatin super featherweight title on Sunday with a second round technical knockout over Andres Tapia at the Polideportivo Alexis Arguello in Managua, Nicaragua.

Fonseca easily resolved the fight against the Mexican after imposing his punch and forcing the referee to stop the actions early due to the lack of response from the visitor.

It was the second defense of the regional crown for the Central American fighter, who has won five fights in a row and wants new opportunities in the big markets as he has had in the past.

Fonseca has fought great boxers like Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia or Tevin Farmer, so his goal is to get new big opportunities and his streak supports him for that.

It was a great evening in Nicaragua, which was in charge of Búfalo Boxing and Probellum and was attended by the WBA through its vice president Renzo Bagnariol, who was very satisfied with the work done and the presence of great talent.
