Mongolian standout Tsendbaatar Erdenebat remained unbeaten and captured the WBA Central Asia lightweight title with a dominant TKO victory over Mexico’s Pedro Bernal in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

With the win, Erdenebat improves to a perfect 12-0, with six of those victories coming by knockout. Bernal, meanwhile, now holds a record of 12-2-1.

From the opening bell, Erdenebat dictated the pace, landing crisp right hooks to both the body and head of Bernal, who struggled to find an answer for the Mongolian’s relentless attack.

True to the reputation of tough-as-nails Mexican fighters, Bernal absorbed heavy punishment and refused to back down. However, the onslaught proved too much, and his corner was forced to throw in the towel, prompting the referee to wave off the fight.

This victory was particularly special for Erdenebat, as it marked his first time fighting on home soil. He not only delivered a dominant performance but also fulfilled his dream of winning a title in his native Mongolia.
