Eddie Hearn was awarded Promoter of the Year by the World Boxing Association (WBA) after collecting the votes of the specialized panel and he opinion of the fans, who participated in different surveys to decide the award.

The British had another great year at the helm of Matchroom Boxing and was the most outstanding promoter due to the excellent work he did in 2021.

This year Matchroom was present in the major venues, organized truly important fights for boxing and gave the fans what they wanted to see in the ring during big events.  He gave opportunities to new talents and boosted women’s boxing by giving them important places on many boxing shows. 

The WBA congratulates Hearn on his award and all the achievements of 2021, and wishes Hearn continued growth in the new year.
