Gervonta Davis and Hector Garcia came face to face at the final press conference before their bout this Saturday at the Capital One Arena in Washington for the World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight title.

The first big fight of the year has been full of expectations and there was a large press attendance at this promotional event for the fight. Davis and Garcia spoke and declared themselves ready to have a great night this weekend.

Davis assured that he is very focused despite the extra-sporting inconveniences he had in the last days, but once declared not guilty he said he feels calm and that his only goal was to clear his name. He said he is only thinking about this fight against Garcia and that it will be a difficult challenge but that he is ready to overcome.

For his part, the Dominican stressed that he is ready for any strategy that Gervonta presents and that it is not a problem for him to move up a category. Garcia said he is ready to go to war and come victorious this Saturday.

The weigh-in ceremony will take place this Friday afternoon, where both must make 135 pounds or less to contend for the 135-pound black and gold crown.
