Garcia managed to come out victorious of his fourth defense when he defeated Mauricio Herrera in Puerto Rico, on March 15.

The honorable mention was awarded to Japanese Kohei Kono, who conquered the WBA super flyweight championships when he defeated the Thai Denkaosan Kaovichit on March 26 in Tokyo.

The WBA has scheduled nine world title fights in April.
