Cuello returns to the ring this weekend in Panama
Mirco Cuello vs. Antonio Guzman on July 22nd

Mirco Cuello is one of the most exciting prospects in Argentina today and has been gaining ground in professional boxing with each performance. This Saturday he will have a big test in his career when he faces Dominican Leidy Frias at the Vasco Nuñez de Balboa Convention Center in Panama City.

The World Boxing Association (WBA) international featherweight champion will expose his title against Frías in a duel of undefeated fighters that will be one of the most eye-catching of the entire evening.

Cuello is 22 years old and gave great joy to his country in the amateur field. He made the jump to the professional ranks in 2020 and has had an incredible growth. He has fought in the United States, Mexico, Colombia and, of course, in his native Argentina. It will be his first presentation on Panamanian soil and he intends to maintain his streak.

Frias, meanwhile, is 28 years old and debuted in 2013. The Quisqueyano had a long break between 2019 and 2022 but returned in March last year with a new triumph and now feels ready for this great challenge against the Argentinean.

Cuello has 9 wins, 8 of them by knockout. Frias comes in with 12 wins, 10 of which have been before the limit.
