Jermell Charlo and Brian Castaño were face to face in the last press conference before their fight this Saturday for the World Boxing Association (WBA), IBF, WBO and WBC Super Welterweight Super Championship belts.

Both fighters were in front of the press and talked about the upcoming bout. A repeat of their showdown last year, in which they ended up a draw and the public was left wanting to see more.

“I’m going to dominate this fight,” said Charlo, owner of three of the four belts. “I’m going to hit harder than ever. I’m going to be faster than ever.”

For his part, Castaño, the WBO champion, was in an equally challenging and confident mood as Charlo and responded to his comments.

“I really want to go out there and show everyone that I can be the undisputed champion. The fact that he is so nervous fascinates me,” said the native of Argentina.

Now all that’s left is the final press conference, which will take place today, Friday, where both must make the 154 pounds required by the division. Once this step is completed, they will be ready for the big fight of the weekend.
