This Thursday in Indio, California, the current champion of 130 pounds of the World Boxing Association Andrew “El Chango” Cancio easily overcame the first challenge of every boxer, the scales, coming in at 130.0 pounds. Meanwhile, the Boricua challenger Alberto “El Explosivo” Machado tipped the scales at a weight at 129.8 pounds.

Cancio and Machado face each other on Friday at Fantasy Springs Casino in a rematch duel, after Cancio shocked the Puerto Rican native champion this February by defeating him via fourth round knockout while knocking him to the canvas on three occasions.

After Machado tasted his first defeat, it was found out that he had problems making the weight and as a consequence he did not recover well for the fight. On this occasion, both boxers have declared that they arrived in the best physical and mental conditions and promise a great show to the fans of boxing.

This event is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Miguel Cotto Promotions and will be broadcast by the DAZN online application.

Cancio comes into the fight with a record of 20-4-2 with 15 knockouts, while Machado is coming into the fight with a record of 21-1 with 17 knockouts.
