Former World Boxing Association (WBA) featherweight world champion, China’s Can Xu, will return to the ring this Friday to face Brandon Benitez at the Whitesands Events Center in Plant City, Florida. 

The 28-year-old fighter returns from a long time of inactivity. His last fight was on July 31 last year when he lost his title to Leigh Wood in a big bout in Brentwood.

Can Xu is known for his exchange boxing and his ability to give and take punishment as one of the highest volume punching fighters in the world.

He will be challenged by 24-year-old Mexican Benitez, who is riding a four-fight winning streak. He is a gritty fighter who also likes to attack, so a very entertaining fight is expected.

Xu has a record of 18 wins, 3 losses and 3 knockouts, while Leon has 18 wins, 2 losses and 7 knockouts.
