William “Camaron” Zepeda will defend his World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Americas title against veteran Rene Alvarado this Saturday in Ontario, California.

The Toyota Arena will be the venue where the Mexican will display his belt against the Nicaraguan during the backing of the evening that will have Gilberto Ramirez and Dominic Boesel facing each other in the main event.

Zepeda, 25, is one of the most impressive young fighters at lightweight and has been making a name for himself in the North American market thanks to his regional crown and the impressive knockouts he has scored in several of his recent bouts.

For his part, Alvarado returns to the ring in a new division after his consecutive losses before the super featherweight champion Roger Gutierrez. The Central American wants to adapt to this division and will have to get the best out of his boxing against the complicated opponent he has in front of him.

The champion comes in with an undefeated record of 25 wins and 23 knockouts. Alvarado has 32 wins, 11 losses and 21 knockouts.
