The fight was stopped after round five due to Welliver’s left eye being closed.

In an entertaining slugfest, junior welterweight Lenny Zappavigna (33-2, 22 KOs) scored a seventh round TKO over Miguel Castillo (26-4, 24 KOs). Zappavigna dropped Castillo in round one and got the stoppage in round seven with a barrage of unanswered punches. Time was 2:46.

Unbeaten super featherweight Kye MacKenzie (13-0, 11 KOs) scored a tenth round TKO over former world title challenger Clive Atwell (12-2-1, 7 KOs). The referee intervened to save Atwell from further punishment. Time was 1:11.
