Argentine Brian Castaño was chosen as the best boxer of the year 2021 for the program Boxeo de Primera of TyC Sport, an award granted by the public through their vote. 

The fighter who featured one of the best fights of last year against Jermell Charlo, World Boxing Association (WBA) super welterweight world champion, declared for the TV channel that he is proud to receive the award and that he thanks all boxing lovers and Boxeo de Primera. 

While the 2021 revelation of the year award was given to Argentine Mirco Cuello, who achieved 5 victories in 2021, 4 of them by knockout.
