Juergen Braehmer is once again a world champion. In a clash for the vacant WBA belt, former WBO champ Juergen Braehmer (42-2, 31 KOs) scored a twelve round unanimous decision over Marcus Oliveira (25-1-1, 20 KOs) on Saturday night at the Jahnsportforum in Neubrandenburg, Germany. The first half of the fight was tactical with Braehmer doing more. Braehmer began punishing Oliveira in the seventh round but Oliveira started to turn the tables a bit in the ninth. Braehmer scored a knockdown in round ten and had a big round eleven, Oliveira’s best round was the twelfth when he had Braehmer holding on. Scores were 115-112, 117-110, 117-110.
