Venezuelan Yenry Betancourt is the first foreigner to arrive in Cartagena, Colombia, to participate in the card next Sunday, November 6 at the Bernardo Caraballo Coliseum.

The 23-year-old super bantamweight fighter will face home fighter, Yehison Cuello, in one of the most interesting bouts of the day, which will be held for 10 rounds.

“For me it is a pleasure to be here in Colombia. Waiting for the weigh-in first and then the fight on Sunday, I’m going all out”, said the native of Los Teques, in Miranda, Venezuela.

Betancourt talked about his opponent this weekend and highlighted what has been the strategy in his preparation: “I know he is a southpaw opponent with a dangerous overhand punch. That’s what I based my strategy on to be able to find him”.

As the 50th anniversary of Antonio Cervantes’ first championship was recently celebrated, Colombia is holding several events in tribute to the great champion of the people. The rest of the fighters will continue to arrive in the city in the coming days as the atmosphere continues to grow for this great gala on November 6.
