In a dramatic bout, Argentine Ayrton “Pacman” Gimenez (10-0, 1 KO) won unanimously in nine rounds against his countryman Alan Luques Castillo (27-11, 10 KOs).

Gimenez retained the World Boxing Association Fedebol Featherweight title at the Multifunctional Complex in the city of Perez, Santa Fe province, Argentina on Saturday night.

Confident of his skills in the ring, Pacman, started the actions with offensive control and good punches. However, in the second round, Gimenez was surprised by a counterpunch from his opponent, who connected accurately and made him hit the canvas twice in the same round. Gimenez’s recovery was immediate and from then on he took control of the fight.

Both fighters had a big punch exchange with Pacman’s greater precision. He did not let himself be discouraged by the stumbles.

Gimenez kept the Fedebol 126 lbs. black and gold belt that he won last January 9th at the same venue against another countryman, Matias Guenemil.
