After only one week of vacation, WBA featherweight champion, Jamaican Nicholas ‘The Axe Man’ Walters attended the Pedro Alcazar training gym in Panama City, Panama on Monday morning for a light workout. “I just want to take care of my weight even when I don’t have a date for my next defense,” said Walters who stopped Nonito Donaire in Carson, California on October 18. “I arrived on October 19 and spent only 3 busy days in Panama attending TV and radio stations for interview appointments,” added the champion who spent 3 days in Barranquilla, Colombia, invited by WBA to the KO Drugs Festival. “I still have to go to Haiti to attend a boxing show promoted by my manager Jacques Deschamps on November 8. We will celebrate my victory there before going to Jamaica to spend some time with my family and country people so I try to workout as often as I can to keep close to my weight division,” said the “Axe Man.”

Congratulations to Ogelidis “La Niña” Suárez
