The Panamanian Anselmo ‘Chemito’ Moreno (35-2-1-12 KOs) and his opponent, Dominican Juan Carlos Payano, marked the same weight 117.6 on the scale for their tomorrow bout (Friday) at the Mesquite Arena, in Mesquite, Texas, United States.

Moreno will make against Payano, the 13th defense of his World Boxing Association (WBA) bantamweight (118 pounds) title.

The Panamanian won the belt on May 31, 2008 by defeating the Ukrainian Vladymir Sidorenko by unanimous decision in Germany. He defended his crown against boxers Cecilio Santos from Mexico, Rolly Matsushita from Philippines, and Mahyar Monshipour and Frederic Patrac from France.

He defended his title once against Sidorenko, while he did it twice against the Venezuelan Nehomar Cermeno. He also fought the Venezuelan Lorenzo Parra, the Armenian Vic Darchinyan, the Mexican David de la Mora, the Colombian William Urina and the Argentine Javier ‘Sparky’ Chacon.
