In another display of superiority in the ring against a tough test, Ireland’s Katie Taylor retained her World Boxing Association belt along with all the others. With the judges’ unanimous decision, Taylor defeated Firuza Sharipova in ten rounds in Liverpool.

In a technical display of speed, the undisputed 135-pound champion determinedly outboxed the Kazakhstan representative Sharipova who showed her conditions in this chance to take over the division.

Sharipova managed some successes that allowed her to win some rounds. However, the pressure she tried to exert was ineffective in the face of Taylor’s quick responses of offense and defense.

The Irishwoman reached her 20th match and remains undefeated. While Sharipova now has 14 wins, 8 knockouts and only 2 defeats.
