Andrew Francillette (20-1-1, 5KO’s) is very excited to get another opportunity to fight for a World Boxing Association (WBA) Title.  This last September he fought Alessandro Goddi in Monaco for the vacant WBA-InterContinental Title.  He lost a controversial split decision in a close fight via scores 115-113, 113-115 and 113-115.

Andrew is getting another opportunity to fight for a WBA Title this Friday, June 8th, at the Parc des sports et loisir Alexis Vastine in his native France.  He will be fighting the highly experienced veteran Emanuele Della Rosa (37-3-1, 10KO’s) with the bout being broadcast live on SFR Sport in France.

Andrew is very excited to be getting another opportunity to fight for a WBA title, saying that he has learned from his previous fight experience against Goddi, “It is good for me to become more aggressive in the fights,” but also adding, “I thought that I won but it was a close fight.”

Andrew had a short amateur career – winning 18 of his 20 bouts – and is trained by Eric Tormos while being promoted under the experienced eye of Gérard Teysseron.  He has dreams of becoming a great middleweight boxer that is world re-known, which is why he is so quick to step up in class again after coming off his first loss as a professional.

Andrew does not want to leave it to the judges this go-round, with his strategy being put very bluntly to stop Della Rosa and make a statement “Della Rosa is a good boxer with lot of experience. He is strong. But I will win, I will stop this guy.”

Andrew is very excited for the opportunity, saying “I want to show that I am a good middleweight in the WBA,” and further adding a message for his fans “Thank you for the support. I will be the new WBA champion, it’s my number one goal.”
