Raeese Aleem and Marcus Bates will enter the ring on Saturday night to fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Bantamweight title eliminator at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut.

The two ranked boxers of the Pioneer organization will face each other for the second time after they met in April 2018. On that occasion, Aleem won by unanimous decision in eight rounds.

Aleem is in the 13th place in the ranking, while Bates is in the 8th place. Their fight for a rematch will be much more interesting because of what is at stake and the possibility of moving up in the rankings for a future title shot.

On Friday they will step on the scale to mark the 122 pounds required by the division and once they do it, they will be ready for Saturday night fight.

Aleem, 30, is undefeated in 16 fights with 10 KOs. Bates arrives with a record of 11 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw and 8 KOs.
