At the Municipal Micro Stadium of Hurlingham, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Olympian Alberto “Impacto” Melian defeated his fellow countryman Luis “Titi” Molina by TKO in the ninth round and won the WBA FEDEBOL Featherweight title.

Both Argentine boxers starred Friday night’s event main fight with an outstanding performance of “Titi” Molina. At the beginning, “Titi” Molina took the center of the ring and was aggressive but failed to the accuracy he wanted. For his part, Melian, stuck to the fight plan and let his opponent move forward to unleash the speed of combinations that started to erode Molina. When round 9 arrived, Titi’s corner threw in the towel to take care of its protégé.

He represented his country in multiple competitions, among which he won the silver medal at the 2010 South American Games in Medellin 2010, and participated in the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games. He debuted as a professional in 2017 and immediately, on his second fight, he won the Super Bantamweight national title, and he also won the WBA NABA belt in the same division.
