The World Boxing Association (WBA) released its June rankings along with its monthly individual awards, naming Panama’s Nataly Delgado as Female Fighter of the Month, while Mexico’s Estefany Alegría earned an Honorable Mention.

Delgado shocked the boxing world on June 13 in Orlando by defeating Jasmine Artiga to capture the WBA super flyweight title with a sensational performance. The Panamanian standout claimed the championship and continued her impressive run, delivering a victory that firmly put her country back in the international spotlight.

Alegría, meanwhile, defeated Evelyn Bermúdez by unanimous decision to capture the WBA light flyweight championship, while also adding the IBF title to her collection with a dominant display.
